4-H Program Assistant
As a 4-H Program Assistant I encourage you to explore the many ways that we can assist you in making your classroom or after-school program a fun and exciting learning environment.
Our goal is to provide teachers; parents or any person in Orange County quality curriculum develop by the University of Florida IFAS Extension, to enhance the learning environment in the classroom or after-school setting, utilizing the experiential learning model.
The 4-H Motto is “To Make the Best Better” and through this opportunity we hope to make the best better for “Today’s Youth”.
Ruth Stokes
Administrative Specialist
Mrs. Ruth Stokes has been married for 43 years. She retired from Southern Bell telephone company and then started working for the University of Florida, IFAS extension for eight years. Two years ago, she accepted a position with Orange County 4-H.
According to Mrs. Stokes, "This has been a great move for me, as working with the youth in our program keeps me feeling young and active."
