Old Business

Money given to Hurricane Katrina relief fund:  $100 to 4-H members in Louisiana and $100 to 4-H members in Mississippi.

Awards Banquet: Held Friday, September 16th at 7pm at the extension center.  Dinner was catered by the Camo and Critters 4-H club of Christmas.  Over 200 people attended.

OZONE taping:  Last taping at the CFF September 17th.  Next taping will be at the CFF October 29th.

Citrus Workshop:  Held Saturday, September 17th from 10-noon at the extension center.

BCC meeting:  4-H youth attended.  County Commissioners voted to fund the entire project for the new extension building.

USDA forum:  Ag. Secretary Mike Johanns was present and listened to concerns regarding Florida agriculture.    4-H members attended.  State president Abigail Crawford took the lead with an opening comment.

New Business

Junior Congress:  Will be held Jan. 6-8, 2006.  Lesson plans are due Oct. 11th.

Ambassadors:  Will meet 2nd Thursday of each month.  First meeting with be Oct. 13th at 7pm.

Senior Retreat:  Registration is past due.  Will be in Osceola County Saturday, October 15th.

District Council:  Next meeting is Thursday, October 25th at 5:30pm in Orange County.

Share the Fun:  Date is now January 20, 2006.  A piano will be available!  The contest is focused on entertainment, not talent...act must be 3-5 minutes...no more than 5 people in an act...group acts must be in the same age division.

Holiday CSP:  Ideas discussed.  Council voted to sponsor individuals at the Russell Home.
