Meet our staff:
4-H and Youth Development Extension Agent
Elver joins us with experience as a 4-H Youth Development Specialist since 2002 with the State of Missouri.
He has held several positions in Missouri including a specialist position in three counties and a statewide position in a special
program to outreach Latino/Hispanic populations at the 4-H Center for Youth Development.
A native from Bogotá Colombia, South America, he received his master’s degree in education from Drury University in Missouri in 2002
and a psychology degree from Universidad Santo Tomas in Bogotá Colombia in 1998.
Elver will provide leadership to our animal science, agricultural literacy, natural resource programs, environmental education,
citizenship and leadership education, workforce preparation and career development, and outreach programs.

Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator
Rebecca is an alumni from the University of Florida [Go Gators!] and the University of Central Florida with degrees in
Sociology and Criminal Justice. She believes strongly in community service and has a passion for working with at-risk youth. She's excited
to merge her interests as a new AmeriCorps member for a year of service with "Orlando Cares" and Orange County 4-H.
Rebecca is the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for the "Orlando Cares" program THE GARDEN.

Administrative Specialist
Ms. Sue Sweetland came to sunny Central Florida two decades ago from a small town in upstate
N.Y.. Her career focus has always involved training and development of people young and old.
Sue first became associated with Orange County Extension after completing the O.C. Master Gardener
Volunteer program in 2009. In 2010 she was hired by the U of Florida to educate youth on good nutrition and
healthy lifestyles.
Coming to 4-H in 2011 she continues to learn, meet great people and enjoy the healthy environment offered
thru 4-H.
